Zuckerberg has blocked the author from promoting this book. So this is me doing my bit to help promote it for her.

Sarah Wynn-Williams had a front-row seat in the evolution of Facebook from 2011 – 2017.
In the chaos of the Christchurch earthquakes in 2011, she experienced first-hand the power of Facebook as a force for good in connecting people.
From her position as a diplomat with the NZ government and the United Nations, Wynn-Williams saw that the future of Facebook would involve working with governments to set rules and boundaries around things like data and content. So, she “pitched” Facebook to create a role for her, to help them navigate these government relationships and policy.
This is the story of her time at Facebook; On the private jets with Zuck and Sheryl Sandberg, and in the meetings where policy was discussed and set.
Spoiler alert: After the honeymoon period, things got weird:
This is a memoir that reveals:
What life is like as an employee at the top of the Facebook hierarchy.
Particularly as a woman, then a pregnant woman, and then a mother.
What “Lean In” actually looks like in practice.
The use and abuse of the platform by political entities around the world
What deals FB will do with governments to penetrate new markets
The targeting of vulnerable users on the platform
Facebook (Now Meta) refute many claims made in the book, calling them “a mix of out-of-date and previously reported claims about the company and false accusations about our executives”
But in the spirit of embracing Free Speech… This is her side of the story.

And as legal action from Meta is preventing Wyn Williams from promoting this book herself – please share this if you would like to do your bit to promote it on her behalf.
